Preview: Ending and eXIting the Underworld

In order to reach the Furnace to complete the Underworld questline, you will need to cross the Parched Pit.

This is quite a large area, with a sprawling maze of lava pits and sinking platforms, but you only need to explore about a quarter of it to reach the Furnace.

The rest of it is optional, but that just means I hid extra loot!

Eventually, you will reach a small section of the final Underworld level, the Titanic Treasury. Only a small portion is available now, the path leading to the Furnace. But, it's guarded...

Defeating the miniboss will unlock the path to the Furnace, which is very similar to the Loonyland 2 fight. Except, the Furnace will be shooting at you. :)

After the Furnace quest, there will only be one task left in the Underworld. You will have to delve into the Titanic Treasury to find the Wing Boots.

The monsters here are a little more dangerous than in the rest of the Underworld, since the randomly wandering Icebox enemies can ruin your day. You will probably be able to tackle this area, but if you are having difficulty you can come back later. I changed the code so you get the Frost Key before completing this quest, instead of after like in the Loonyland 2 Titanic Titan quest. So, you don't need to go here until the end of the game. But, it's right here, and you can probably manage. And treasure! It is a treasury, so it has loot!
